VISIT LOCAL WINERY
One of the best activities when you stay at Six Senses Douro Valley is visiting the wineries and vineyards in the area. You will have the opportunity to become winemaker for a day and make your own coupages, and harvest time, as it is now, and also participate in the ancient tradition of treading grapes making the first pressing.
Among the most historic vineyards, you can discover rare gems like the Quinta de Ervamoira, 45 minutes by helicopter from the resort. Worth the flight to admire the beauty of the landscape from the air.
Another option is the winery Quinta do Crasto, on the right bank of the Douro River or the beautiful Qinta Nova, with 250 years of history, the first winery in the Douro region; just 15 minutes by helicopter.
Another interesting proposals of this resort is its open kitchen where we find the Chef’s Table. With up to six people, it is available on Thursdays and Fridays for dinner.
