Refreshing ideas for after summer traveling
We are in summer, heat presses and many are looking forward to change the sand for snow, while others are happy lying in a hammock. But the truth is that either in summer or winter, we love to enjoy our leisure moments.
For those who dream on getting back on their skis, we have compiled four very interesting proposals in 3 different continents: America, Asia and Europe.
USA & Canada have a wide range of skiable kilometers in a stunning setting, and it also offers celebritie’s favourite après-ski leisure.
ASPEN, COLORADO (USA)
The best known, even non-skiers, is Aspen, Colorado. An authentic village in western roots and a Victorian mining center, are the chic scenes of intense social life of the city, with a wide range of shops, bars and restaurants.
The area has more than 15 luxury hotels, among which lie the Little Nell, service ski-in / ski-out. Essential to his new restaurant, Element 47, named in honor of its mining roots of the people. 47 is the number on the periodic table of silver.
WHISTLER, BRITISH COLUMBIA (CANADA)
We turn to Canada. To the west, in the region of British Columbia is Whistler, one of the best ski stations (if not the best) in North America. Host the Winter Olympics in 2010, combines incredible tracks with plenty of activities for expert skiers and beginners, lessons for kids, zip lines, sled huskies, mountain skiing, snowshoeing, bungee jumping, ice skating can even practice Heli-ski. We recommend to stay in Four Seasons Whistler.
NISEKO, HOKKAIDO (JAPAN)
The most fashionable destination this year so far: Japan, as snow is concerned.
Niseko station in the region of Sapporo on the island of Hokkaido, is without doubt, the best ski resort from Japan and not in vain has become the most desired by skiers worldwide.
The ski season in Niseko runs from early December to late April and receives a rainfall of 15 meters of snow annual average, January and February being the months with the highest snowfall.
In addition, skiing with Mount Yotei background is a privilege.
We recommend to stay at Ki Niseko resort, a boutique hotel with door to the ski slopes, but with all the modern alpine charm and comfort you expect to find after a full day of skiing. You can try the experience of relax in its onsen baths thermal water from Mount Yotei.
VAL D’ISERE (FRANCE)
Val d’Isere is the pleasure of skiing in a charming village in the French Alps. It is located in the Vanoise National Park, a protected natural area that has managed to integrate its modern facilities in constant renewal.
Tignes form with the so-called Espace Killy, who say it is the space for skiing most beautiful in the world. The two mountains of Val d’Isere, Solaise and Bellevarde offer from simple slopes for beginners to the most demanding driving off track.
When you return from the slopes you will find lively bars and live music, boutiques and lively night parties. Dick’s Tea Bar is the most famous of Val d’Isere bar. Open since 1979, it has become an institution.
And to stay, we propose the hotel Le Blizzard Resort & Spa 5 *. 100m from the slopes and close to the center.
