London, the city of a thousand faces.

London, the city of a thousand faces.

Impossible to define by a single word or show through a single image, as may be possible with other major world capitals. Postcard-famous Big Ben with the bottom of the Houses of Parliament, the unmistakable silhouette of the Tower of London, is only the image of a city that reminds us of its earliest origins. Kensington, Chelsea, St. James, Bloomsbury Mayfair, Marylebone, show different, perfectly friendly and civilized faces, the thousand faces of this vast city that spans over 1,600 square kilometers.

If it is difficult to know a city in a four-day trip or a week, in the case of London such a claim is literally impossible. Its multiple character disguises so the traveler makes it appear as dozens of different cities. It is best to choose what most interests and devote the remaining time to London we dominate, because we never can get hold of it.

Unfortunately, many of the travelers arriving in the capital do not leave Oxford Street, where department stores and a large number of shops of all kinds are concentrated. Purchases have been, and remain, one of the highlights of the trip. Of course there are many other rides that will meet the different faces of London. Each area of London has something different to offer: its attractions, open spaces, dining, nightlife or just the environment. West of the city is known for the high cost areas such as Kensington and Belgravia. It also has other must visit places like the Royal Albert Hall and Kew gardens, and an excellent range of shops and architectural beauty.

The north has the appearance of big city suburb, as in the districts of Islington and Camden Town, and has a great social life. The east is an area with a great diversity, while the south stands out for its multicultural atmosphere visible. This includes places like the South Bank or international markets Brixton and Deptford, among others. London is definitely a great city to visit at any time of year and London is the city of a thousand faces.
