Hotel Review: Chateau Chevre D’Or, Eze by Carmen Caballero
Month Visited: October 2017
Type of visit: Couples
Length of stay: 1 night
Check-in and first impressions:
Our first impression was WOW. Loved the entrance, walking through this lovely property just felt out of this world how beautiful it was. Check in was fast and very informative about all aspects of the property. The concierge made sure we knew about the restaurants of the hotel in case we wanted to make a reservation, although we did not get to try them since we had other plans made. We had 20 minutes wait until our room was ready, and we got invited to a cocktail in the terrace were we got to admire stunning views of the sea and hotel gardens.
Room type and amenities:
We stayed at a junior suite with sea view, and the views could not be more SPECTACULAR. Totally worth it. Room has a private terrace with stunning views too, the rooms was big and had a living area, very big and comfy bed. It was located right next to the reception and the area were breakfast was served, so we were very well located. We did see other rooms were a bit far, but since the location is so unique, it is always nice to walk. As welcome amenity, we received a very good red wine and a basket of fresh fruits we enjoyed in our terrace.
Bathroom and amenities:
Bathroom was quite big, amenities were Fragonard Paris. We had a big bathtub and two sinks.
Very good wifi connection all throughout the property. Impressed since the property was very big.
Pool Area: There are two pools at the hotel. The main pool is quite small, but the infinity pool is stunning and it has a very nice area lo lay down and admire the stunning views the sea.
Lovely breakfast location in the panoramic terrace. For a moment we thought we would order room service, but we are glad we made it to the breakfast buffet. There were many homemade pastries, bread, local dishes and cakes.
Yes. No bed or food bowl for the pet, but she found her little spot in a corner of the room.
UNIQUE. The hotel is located in the medieval village of Eze overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. In the village you can find shops and restaurants and also a very nice church.
I loved the gardens and the infinity pool of the hotel. Waking up to that sea view was just magical. Breakfast was definitely over my expectations.
Disclosure: I was a guest of this hotel and even though the hotel may have offered complimentary services, my reviews will never be swayed one way or the other. Hope you trust you have received complete truth in each review.
