Hotel Review: Cap Estel, Eze by Carmen Caballero
Month Visited: October 2017
Type of visit: Couples
Length of stay: 1 night
Check-in and first impressions:
The entrance to the hotel is simply stunning. There is a paved road that leads you to the property, the road has beautiful plants surrounding it and a gorgeous ocean view. When you get to the main building where the reception is located, they are ready to receive you and take care of your car and check in. We got offered a drink during check in, our room was ready very early and our luggage in the room very fast.
Room type and first impressions– size, views, wardrobe, decor, welcome amenities… :
Our junior suite was very private, we had complete privacy to be in our two balconies without been seen from any other point at the hotel. We had a very nice and private patio in the entrance, with an ocean view. The design of the room was very nice and comfortable receiving plenty of natural sunlight in all areas of the room. Room has a Nespresso machine and a big flat screen tv. We received champagne and two pastries as a welcome gift.
Bathroom and amenities:
Bathroom was very big, with two sinks, a big shower and a bathtub. Also there was an area for ladies to do our make up. Products were by SOTHYS, and interestingly, we found some morning cleanser, hydra gel cream for ladies and for men too…. First time I see this type of products as bathroom amenities.
Easy to connect and worked very well throughout the property.
There a small private beach at the hotel, it is a pebble beach. Hotel sun beds are very comfortable, the water is very clear and pretty. We could see some of the rooms had views to the beach. The beach has a very easy access from the property through stairs.
Stunning infinity pool and views. Just amazing! Also with a hot tub. Sun beds are spread around the pool and with views directly to the sea. The pool bar has a great service, fast and anticipating our need when we needed more towels and we wanted to order lunch. The club sandwich and season salad were very good.
The hotel has a Michelin star restaurant we did not get to try it since it was closed when we visited.
We ordered room service for dinner and the food was very good too, I would say they could have had a nicer presentation and set up of the table. My only “but”!
Delicious. There were many options available at the buffet. The cook made us Benedict eggs which were to die for. One of the best we have ever tried.
Yes, the hotel provides a bed and bowl for your pet.
The hotel is located in the lower part of Eze. You can visit the village of Cap Ferrat, Eze Medieval Village and Monaco is very close too.
What I love the most:
I loved waking up to those views, the sea view was spectacular. I also liked that the hotel had everything we needed: private beach, garden, pool and a good restaurant ad breakfast. If I had to choose a hotel to spend the summer at, I would definitely choose Cap Estel.
Disclosure: I was a guest of this hotel and even though the hotel may have offered complimentary services, my reviews will never be swayed one way or the other. Hope you trust you have received complete truth in each review.
