The locals say there is no place on Earth where the ocean is bluer or clearer than here. Felicité is one of Seychelles 115 Islands and its name means happiness. Once you set foot on this little piece of paradise, you’ll understand why: quiet sandy bays are framed by massive granite rocks while little waves are slowly rolling over the coral reefs as if they had all the time in the world. Giant Turtoises are snoozing lazily in the shadows of the palmtrees and the first fruit bats are gliding smoothly over the rainforest. Even the few people who are based on the island seem to have the same relaxed pace of life as that of their surrounding. They are welcoming guests at the island’s floating jetty with a warm and open smile on their faces. The islands name says it all: Félicité!

More or less all of them work for Six Senses Zil Pasyon. The international hotel chain opened this 30 Villas island resort in the end of 2016 and it is the newest luxury addition to the exclusive destination in the indian ocean. Félicité lies about 55 kilometres north of the main island Mahé and can easily be reached by boat or helicopter. The Villas are all blending in with the environment; they builders mainly used natural materials such as wood and stone. Still, this place is far from simple: with lots of love for details the rooms were furnitured in the most modern way with light textures, private plunge pools and of course amazing views over the area. Accoringly to the Six Senses concept the eco-friendly approach doesn’t stop at the maerials. A lot of the fruits and vegetables the restaurants serve are from the islands own gardens. And that you sure do taste! Besides being a luxury eco-friendly resort, one of the main pillars of the hotel chain is a personal and top notch service – which you can feel on every corner of this dreamy hideaway. Starting with the british head chef, who always pops by casually like an old friend to propose some special ideas or simply to have a relaxed chat from one islander to the other. Should one ever manage to digest all these heavenly dishes a spa visit is highly recommended. High up on the grey rocks thrones the famous spa of the Six Senses. You musn’t leave the island without having tried one of the treatments, since the different detox- anti-aging and massage treatments are the signiture of the brand. It won’t be easy afterwards to get yourself going and grab a drink anywhere further than the nighttable – but we promise you won’t regret a Sundowner Cocktail while watching the stunning sunset … Movie-fans will be excited about the open-air screen on which they show recent movies while the guests are chilling in hammocks just a few inches above the sea eating popcorn…. What else could you possibly need to be happy? Nothing you wouldn’t find on Félicité…
